The league’s trade deadline for overage players is Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 12:00 pm (ET).
Can trades be announced after 12:00 pm?
Yes, you may see trades announced after the deadline time if the paperwork was submitted to the league before the cutoff and the deal is processed later.
Are OHL rosters finalized after the trade deadline?
No. While the OHL Trade Deadline has passed, rosters are not yet finalized. Teams may continue to sign players to Standard Player Agreements (SPAs) through February 10, which is the League’s final signing date for the 2025–26 season.
Where can I find the full official list of transactions?

How many import players can an OHL team carry?
Starting in 2025-26, CHL clubs are permitted to carry up to three import players on their rosters.
What is an “overage” player?
