Attack acquire defenceman Julian Brown from London
The Owen Sound Attack have acquired defenceman Julian Brown from the London Knights in exchange for two OHL Priority Selection picks and the rights to prospect Jacob Vandeven.
Brown, a 2006-born defenceman, was signed by the Knights as a free agent ahead of the 2025–26 season. The 6-foot-3, 230-pound blueliner has appeared in 36 games this season, recording one goal and six assists along with 48 penalty minutes. A native of Montclair, New Jersey, Brown brings size and a physical edge to the Attack blue line.
“Bringing in Julian was an easy decision after moving David Bedkowski to Ottawa,” said Attack General Manager Dale DeGray. “At first glance you see similarities in their games. Julian is a bigger-bodied, puck-moving defender who plays with an aggressive edge. He is the type of player opponents are aware of when he is on the ice.”
Brown is expected to join the Attack in time for practice on Friday and could make his Owen Sound debut this weekend when the Attack host the Kitchener Rangers at the Bayshore.
In return, the Knights receive Owen Sound’s third-round pick in 2028, a third-round pick in 2029, and the rights to Jacob Vandeven as they add future assets to their draft pool.
