Frontenacs trade Owen Outwater to Spitfires for picks
The Kingston Frontenacs have completed a trade with the Windsor Spitfires. Windsor will receive forward Owen Outwater in exchange for three OHL Priority Selection picks.
Kingston Receives:
3rd Round Pick – 2026 (GUE)
3rd Round Pick – 2027 (WSR)
4th Round Pick – 2025 (FLNT)
Windsor Receives
Owen Outwater – FWD
“Owen is a good young player on and off the ice and was well liked by our players and our staff.” said GM Kory Cooper. He added “With Gabriel Frasca nearing a return to the lineup, we have an influx of offensively skilled players making opportunities for Owen limited. He is a player that deserves to see time on the power play and in scoring situations, but the depth in our lineup prevents him from getting that time.”
Outwater, from Ottawa, ON, originally joined the Frontenacs via trade to start the 2022-23 season. The 6’3”, 170 lbs. forward appeared in 81 games for the Black and Gold scoring 18 goals and 32 assists. He was originally drafted by the North Bay Battalion with their first-round pick at the 2021 OHL Priority Selection.
GM Cooper continued “We want to wish Owen the best of luck in Windsor, and we hope to see him thrive with the opportunity he will get with the Spitfires.”
The Frontenacs play their next three games at Leon’s Centre beginning on Friday, November 17th against the Mississauga Steelheads. On Saturday, November 18th, the team will honor former Kingston Canadians star Bernie Nicholls with a pregame ceremony before taking on the Brantford Bulldogs. The home stand wraps up on Friday, November 24th against the Windsor Spitfires. All games start at 7 PM.
