The Kingston Frontenacs Hockey Club is committed to growing the game of hockey and inspiring the next generation of young athletes and fans, while creating equity, diversity, and inclusion in the sport we all love.
The Kingston Frontenacs are dedicated to making sure that every game played at the Leon’s Centre is welcoming, inclusive, accessible, and socially conscious of all players, staff and fans in attendance. Our hockey club will continue to be at the forefront of creating positive change when it comes to equity, diversity, and inclusion within our community.
The Kingston Frontenacs recognize the importance of working with local groups and organizations that are the leaders within our community for creating equity, diversity, and inclusion. By listening to, and working with these various groups, it became apparent that the hockey club had a responsibility to utilise its platform and reach to generate partnerships and events that would create conversations and invoke change.
The pillars of our organization when it comes to creating equity, diversity, and inclusion in hockey is the work we do with our special events and programs. Staple events that will always be a part of a Kingston Frontenacs season schedule include the team’s Indigenous Peoples Night, Women in Sports Night, Pride Night, and Diversity in Hockey Night. These pillar events are predominant principles of our community and demonstrate the importance of inclusion and respect in sport.
