The Kingston Frontenacs will be kicking off their 2023-24 season on Friday, September 29th when the team hosts the Oshawa Generals at Leon’s Centre in their home opener. The first 3,000 Fans in attendance will receive a magnet schedule courtesy of YourTV Kingston.

Hockey Fights Cancer
A staple of every season, the Kingston Frontenacs will partner with the Canadian Cancer Society to raise money and awareness for cancer research. The night will focus on cancer survivors, fans battling the disease and families that have been affected by cancer. The Frontenacs will also be wearing special Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys for the game that will be auctioned off with all proceeds going back to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Honouring Jim Gilchrist’s 3,000th Game Called
When the Barrie Colts visit the Kingston Frontenacs on November 3rd, the game will represent a milestone moment for a Kingston Frontenacs icon. When the puck drops, Jim Gilchrist will be calling his 3,000th Ontario Hockey League game. This incredible accomplishment will be celebrated throughout the evening.

The Kingston Frontenacs, LETR and Special Olympics Ontario are teaming up on November 4th to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics athletes. The event will be a joint effort between the Kingston Frontenacs, Law Enforcement Torch Run, Special Olympics Ontario and Special Olympics Kingston.

Remembrance Day Game
The Kingston Frontenacs will be hosting their annual Remembrance Day Game on November 10th when the team hosts the Sarnia Sting. The night will honour the service men and women that protect our freedom and will remember those we lost while they were defending us. The Frontenacs will also be wearing their fan favourite CADPAT jerseys for the first time during the 2023-24 season as a sign of respect to veterans and the military community. The game is presented by Cintas.

Legend Night – Honouring Bernie Nicholls
The Kingston Frontenacs are excited to announce that on November 18th, 2023 the team will be honouring one of the most prolific scorers in franchise history. We will be raising Bernie Nicholls’ number 16 to the rafters. Bernie skated with the Kingston Canadians from 1979 until 1981. During his rookie season in 1979-80, Nicholls scored 36 goals and collected 79 points. He followed up his freshman season with the greatest season the franchise has ever seen. In 65 games played, Bernie scored an astonishing 63 goals, 89 assists, for a team record 152 points.

Teddy Bear Toss
Presented by Cataraqui Centre in support of The Salvation Army
The Kingston Frontenacs annual Teddy Bear Toss will be back at the Leon’s Centre on December 1st, 2023. Fans are asked to bring a plush toy with them to the game against North Bay. When the Frontenacs score their first goal of the contest, fans can throw their plush toys on the ice as a celebration. All the collected stuffed animals will be donated to the Salvation Army to ensure families in need have a wonderful holiday season.
