Ethan Miedema Announces the Launch of Miedema’s Mission
Kingston Frontenacs forward Ethan Miedema is proud to announce the launch of Miedema’s Mission, an initiative focused on finding a cure for breast cancer.
Ethan will be raising funds to be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society, an organization that is leading the way in Canada for Cancer Research.
“I’m starting this initiative because in November my mom will be 11 years cancer free, and I know how hard this can be on families that are going through this process” said Miedema. “With this mission, I want to bring a spotlight to strong women who are fighting, have fought, or have passed on from breast cancer with the goal of raising funds to find a cure for this horrible disease.”
Miedema’s Mission will officially face-off against breast cancer beginning on September 29th at the Kingston Frontenacs Home Opener. Fundraising will take place through the month of October leading up to the Frontenacs Hockey Fights Cancer game on October 27th but will continue all season long as we hope to find a cure for breast cancer.
Donations to Miedema’s Mission can be made HERE. Throughout the season, other forms of fundraising will be announced, including a silent auction that will take place at Leon’s Centre during the Hockey Fights Cancer game.
“We have a lot of things planned for this upcoming season. I hope you can all can join me on my mission this season. Thank you so much for the support.” added Ethan.
