Petrovsky Headed to IIHF Men’s World Hockey Championships with Slovakia
Hockey Slovakia announced this morning the addition of Owen Sound Attack forward Servac Petrovsky to their roster for the 2024 IIHF Men’s Ice Hockey World Championships. While Petrovsky has represented his country many times with the junior program, this will be his first opportunity with the Slovakian senior program.
Petrovsky has represented Slovakia seven times including once at the U16 level, three times at the U18 level and four times at the World Junior U20 level. In 48 career international games he has racked up 22 goals and 20 assists. In three seasons with the Owen Sound Attack Petrovsky has 72 goals and 92 assists in 184 games.
The tournament is scheduled to take place in Prague and Ostrava Czechia from May 10-16, 2024. Petrovsky and Slovakia are in Group B for the tournament with France, Germany, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Poland, Sweden and the United States. They will open the tournament against the Germans on May 10, 2024 at 4:20pm (local time), 10:20am (EST).
