Attack Prospects Alexander Lisi and Nicholas Gilby Included in Rosters announced for GOHL Top Prospects Game

The league is pleased to announce the player rosters for the GOHL Top Prospects Game presented by Milk, a preliminary showcase being presented as part of the OHL’s Connor McDavid OHL Top Prospects Game next month in Peterborough. In amongst those named on the roster are Attack Prospects Alexander Lisi (Chatham) for Team Scheifele and Nicholas Gilby (Port Colborne) for Team Thornton.
The GOHL game, showcasing the league’s top OHL prospects, will take place Tuesday, January 13 at 7:00pm at the Miskin Law Community Complex, located adjacent to the Peterborough Memorial Centre.
Team Thornton faces off against Team Scheifele — teams named in honour of highly accomplished GOHL alumni Joe Thornton (St. Thomas Stars, 1993-95) and Mark Scheifele (Kitchener Dutchmen, 2009-10), who became franchise pillars with the Soo Greyhounds and Barrie Colts respectively before making their mark in the NHL.
The GOHL’s two first-place teams have the highest representation. The Eastern Conference leading Cambridge Redhawks the Western Conference’s Chatham Maroons each have four players selected.
Matt Doyle (Waterloo Siskins) will serve as head coach for Team Scheifele, while Peterborough Petes and NHL alumnus Jason Williams (St. Thomas Stars) and will be the head coach for Team Thornton.
The GOHL Top Prospects Game presented by Dairy Farmers of Ontario will be available to watch live on FloHockey.
