Attack Travel to Brampton
The Owen Sound Attack will travel to Brampton tonight for what could very well be their last game at the Bunker. Earlier this week, the city of North Bay approved the relocation of the Battalion to North Bay beginning in 2013/2014. The relocation must be approved by the OHL’s Board of Governor’s.
Battalion forward Brendan Childerley will take on his old mates for their first time since his departure in early October. Childerley spent parts of four seasons with the Attack, helping the team win the OHL Championship in 2011.
The Attack are coming off a 3-0 loss at home to the hands of the Guelph Storm and are looking to avoid losing three straight games for the first time this season. Despite their loss on Wednesday, the Attack still sit first overall in the MidWest division and the Western Conference with 27 points, two points ahead of the Storm.
Defenseman Jacob Middleton is inching closer to a return to the line-up but is not expected to play this weekend.
Friday, November-09-12 – Attack @ Brampton: It’s hard to say what the reaction will be in Brampton from both fans and players alike. Battalion Head Coach Stan Butler will undoubtedly have his team focused and prepared, however; knowing that they will all have a new address next season and having to answer the questions night in and night out from media and fans will no doubt become tiring after a while for all involved in Brampton. The Battalion currently sit 7th in the Eastern Conference with 17 points. They are last in the Eastern Conference (and OHL) in goals scored with 41, however; sit tied for 3rd in the Eastern Conference with 54 goals against.
Look Out For: Barclay Goodrow is a fourth year forward, Captain and leading goal scorer for the Brampton Battalion. The 6’2, 214lb winger from Aurora has 9 goals for the Troops, which leads the team. In two seasons prior, he has scored a total of 50 goals and 91 points.
Last 10: Attack- 6-2-1-1 (1st in MidWest) Battalion – 4-4-2-0 (5th in Central)
Catch It On: All of the action can be heard live on Kia of Owen Sound/Terry’s Trailer Service Bear Radio on 560 CFOS with Fred Wallace. The action can be viewed live on Rogers TV Local Channel 53.
Game time in Brampton is 7:30pm.
