Attack Fall 3-1 to Otters
The Attack was at home on Sunday, but it wasn’t in the friendly confines of the Bayshore. The Attack played their first ever exhibition game at the P&H Centre in Hanover in front of 1300 fans.
The Attack were still without many regulars, as was Erie, however; the game was filled with action from end to end.
Erie got on the board first when Michael Curtis took a Connor McDavid feed into the slot and fired the puck past starter Brandon Hope for a 1-0 lead.
The Attack would recover in the second period and tie the game at one when Daniel Pugliese outskated the Otters defender and sliced a rolling puck past the Otters netminder.
Halfway through the frame, Hope would give way to Michael McNiven who had a very solid game.
The Otters would make it 2-1 on the powerplay when Michael Curtis took another McDavid feed at the side of the net deposited it past McNiven.
The Attack trailed 2-1 heading into the third and would not be able to catch up as Curtis tallied his third of the game, again from McDavid on the powerplay to make it a 3-1 game.
The Attack organization wishes to thank Hanover Minor Hockey, the town of Hanover and the entire staff at the P&H Centre for a wonderful afternoon.
