Attack Blank Spits 1-0
The Windsor Spitfires came to town on Sunday afternoon looking for their first win of the Season against the Attack after dropping their first two games.
Jordan Binnington collected his 66th career win on Saturday and got the call for the third straight game on Sunday afternoon.
Just 14 seconds into the opening frame, fisticuffs ensued with Kerby Rychel of the Spits and Nathan Chiarlitti of the Attack dropping the mitts.
That fight would be the only real occurrence of consequence in the opening two frames as this one was scoreless headed into the third.
The Attack PK was once again strong, killing off six Spitfire powerplays through forty minutes.
The third period would be the best of the game for the Attack. At 5:51, Cameron Brace was awarded a penalty shot and capitalized, firing one past the blocking arm of Jordan DeKort.
Despite a flurry of chances, including a late power play, the Owen Sound Attack held off the Windsor Spitfires, winning 1-0.
Jordan Binnington recorded his 2nd consecutive shutout and the Attack took 4 out of 6 points in all Western Conference weekend.
The Centennial Windows Three Stars of the Game were:
3) Cameron Brace GWG
2) Jordan DeKort 23 SV
1) Jordan Binnington 26SV SO
