Preview: Hwy 26 Battle Resumes Wednesday
The Owen Sound Attack close out their pre-Christmas schedule on Wednesday night against their highway 26 rivals the Barrie Colts at the Bayshore. This is the second meeting between the two teams this season with the Colts having taken the first meeting 4-3 back in October in Barrie. Both teams will be without some key players due to International commitments at the World Junior Hockey Championships.
The Attack will need to find a way to solve the goaltending tandem of Ben Hrebik and Sam Hillebrandt who are among the league leaders in goals against and save percentage categories, while limiting Barrie’s balanced offensive attack. The Bears will look to have continued success on the penalty kill, when needed, and get their power play rolling that has seen some struggles as of late. Owen Sound will also look to a strong performance from either Matthew Koprowski or Trenten Bennett who have both had solid efforts last week.
