Friday, February 30th, 2024, 7:30pm @ Guelph Storm (RogersTV – 53, CHLtv)
The Attack will take on the Storm of Friday night, in an all important matchup that could decide which teams achieves the 3rd place position within the division, and even more importantly the playoff matchups. The Guelph Storm have found themselves in a bit of a rut over the last 10 games, only going (1-6-3) in that time. One of the reasons for this rut can be attributed to the lack of scoring over this period. The Attack will seek to capitalize on this and outscore the struggling Storm. Guelph is led by forwards Luchanko (20G,41A), Bowman (28G, 29A), and Karebela (18G 27A)
Saturday, March 1st, 2024, 7:00pm vs. Saginaw Spirit (RogersTV – 53, CHLtv)
The Attack will head back to the bayshore for the final two games of their triple header, beginning with the Saginaw Spirit. Saginaw is a formidable opponent who currently sit at second in the Western Conference with 83 points. The Spirit are one of the deepest teams in the league and they will often rely on scoring from all four lines to take down their opponents. The Attack will need to play a full 60 minutes, as only 5 minutes of off play could spell defeat for Owen Sound. They will rely on their top notch firstling, but also need a strong game from many of their secondary scorers. Both teams boast exemplary special teams with the Attack holding the second best power play in the league and the 3rd best penalty kill. The Spirit hold the 3rd best power play, and the 2nd best penalty kill. The Spirit are led by Defecnceman Parekh (28G 53A) and forwards Beck (29G 34A) and Misa (26G 35A).
Sunday, March 2nd, 2024, 6:00pm vs. Peterborough Petes (RogersTV – 53, CHLtv)
In their final game of the weekend, the Attack will welcome the Petes to the bayshore. The Petes, currently in a rebuilding year, sit at second last in the entire leagues, only beating out the Niagara IceDogs. After a tough two games, the Petes should be an easier matchup, but the team cannot take a night off. The Petes are led by Melee (13G 30A), Lefebvre (12G 20A), and Purdeller (9G 23A). The Attack will seek to dominate the Petes on their power play, and outscore the struggling team.
