Darren Rumble Named Interim Head Coach
After making changes to the teams coaching staff on Monday, the Owen Sound Attack have named current Assistant Coach Darren Rumble as the teams Interim Head Coach effective immediately. Sean Teakle remains with the team in his current role as the teams Assistant Coach.
Rumble has 17 years of coaching experience, including eight seasons as a Head Coach in the American Hockey League with the Norfolk Admirals and the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with the Moncton Wildcats. In two seasons in Norfolk Rumble amassed a record of 50-61-0-11, while in six seasons in Moncton he led the Wildcats to a playoff appearance in five out of six seasons with an overall record of 194-177-0-37.
The Attack will now prepare for a busy weekend that will see them play three games in three days. They will kick off the weekend with a Friday night battle in Kitchener at 7pm. The Bears will then return home to defend the Den against the Brantford Bulldogs on Saturday night at 7pm, before closing out the weekend with a Sunday matinee at 2pm against the Kingston Frontenacs. There will be a skate with the team following Sundays game.
