The Owen Sound Attack will be well represented at Hockey Canada’s Summer Showcase when national team hopefuls take the ice beginning on July 22, 2017.

Eight members of the Attack organization will be representing the team in Calgary, ALTA, and Plymouth, MI, which will be the sites of selection and training camps for Hockey Canada’s U17, U18, and U20 squads.

The pair will join 40 hopefuls for the 2018 World Junior Hockey Championships at a summer tournament in Plymouth at the home of the United States National Development Program.

Last year, Suzuki skated for Team Canada at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament and looking to follow in his footsteps is Attack forward Aidan Dudas.

Dudas is one of 44 players who has been named to the selection camp roster for the Under 18 tournament, but he won’t be the only Attack representative at the camp in Calgary.

Owen Sound Head Athletic Therapist and Equipment Manager Andy Brown has been named to the support staff for the 2017 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament and will oversee the camp before travelling with the team to the tournament in the Czech Republic.

Joining Dudas and Brown at the U18 portion of the Summer Showcase is Attack Assistant Coach Alan Letang, who has been named to the camp staff as well.

Also heading to Calgary, where Hockey Canada will evaluate over 100 players for spots on a trio of teams for the World Under 17 Challenge are Attack prospects Mitchell Russell and Mack Guzda, selections of Owen Sound in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection. Joining the two Attack prospects at the U17 camp is Attack Assistant Equipment Manager Trevor Castonguay, who has been named to the Camp’s support staff.
