Attack and Greyhounds Swap Wingers
The Owen Sound Attack have made a swap of 2004 born wingers with the SOO Greyhounds, as Julian Fantino is heading north while the Attack are welcoming in Landen Hookey to the Bears Den.
Hookey, a Sarnia, ON native, was originally drafted by the Greyhounds in the ninth round of the 2020 OHL Priority Selection Draft. The 6’4 right winger has found mild success in his second year in the league, posting 6 goals, 9 assists for 15 points in 36 games played this season, after registering just a goal and four assists last year in his rookie season. Appearing in six playoff games last season, Hookey gained valuable experience as the Greyhounds made it to the second round.
Going the other way, the Attack wish all the best to Fantino, who currently sits with 3 goals, 11 assists and 14 points on the season. The native of Woodbridge, ON was drafted in the eighth round in the 2020 OHL Draft, and has appeared in 89 games for Owen Sound registering 24 points. The winger was a standout in the Attack’s 7-game series last year in the playoffs, as he was second on the team with four goals, and third with five points.
Involved in the trade are a pair of draft picks, as the teams will be swapping their respective 15th round picks in the 2026 OHL Priority Selection Draft.
The entire Attack organization wants to welcome Landen to the team while also wishing Julian all the best as he continues his hockey journey.
