Attack Player of the Week – Deni Goure
The Owen Sound Attack have named centre Deni Goure the Attack Player of the Week for the first week of the Ontario Hockey League season.
Originally from Grand Pointe, Ontario, Goure is in his overage season with the Attack after being drafted in the first round of the 2019 OHL Priority Selection by the Bears.
In 193 career games played with the Attack, Goure has 69 goals and 89 assists.
The Bears faced a back-to-back opening weekend taking on the Storm in Guelph on Friday, before returning home to take on the Barrie Colts on Saturday night. Goure led the way offensively over the first two games of the regular season, tallying the teams only two goals in a 4-2 loss to Guelph and adding a powerplay marker in the Attack’s home opener victory, 4-2 over the Colts.
The Attack will continue the 2023-24 OHL regular season on Friday night when they head to Kitchener to face the Rangers. They will then return home to the Bayshore to take mid-west division rivals the Erie Otters on Saturday night at 7pm, before playing a rare Thanksgiving Monday game in North Bay.
