Ultimate Attack Moment Winner to be Announced this Week

Mississauga, ON – It should be an electric atmosphere at the Hershey Centre tomorrow night as the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors welcome back the Niagara IceDogs.  This game will signify the first time the IceDogs have stepped onto Hershey Centre ice since relocating from Mississauga to St. Catharines during the summer.

The Majors have another reason to be fired up tomorrow evening; they were beaten during both of their trips to St. Catharines in October, by scores of 4-1 and 7-3.  Currently, the Majors sit fourth in the OHL’s Central Division with a 6-6-1-0 record (13 points) while the IceDogs are atop the pack with a 10-6-0-0 mark (20 points).  The Majors possess a 5-2-0-0 record at the Hershey Centre.

Latvian sniper Kaspars Daugavins continues to lead the way offensively for the Majors, with 16 points in 13 games.  Not far behind is recent pick-up, and Mississauga native, Kris Sparre, with 14 points, and a team-leading 9 goals.

The IceDogs offence has counted the most goals in the Eastern Conference thus far with 63.  Their offence has been paced primarily by Luca Caputi (24 points), Stefan Legein (19 points) and Michael Swift (19 points).

This game will be presented by Tim Horton’s and pucks and player cards will be distributed to the fans in attendance.

Then, the Majors will host the defending OHL champion Plymouth Whalers on Sunday afternoon (November 4) at 2 p.m.  The Whalers currently find themselves fourth in the West Division with a 7-6-1-0 record.

The Majors Kidszone should be hopping on that day as cartoon star Dora the Explorer will be swinging by for a special meet and greet between 1 and 2 p.m.  Then, Majors injured players will be signing autographs in the Kidszone during the second intermission.  Special family pricing is available for this game through the Hershey Centre box office.
