The Start of a “Banner” Year!
The 2011 Ontario Hockey League Champion Owen Sound Attack is pleased to announce the dates for unveiling their three Championship Banners this fall. The Attack will be unveiling the 2011 MidWest Division Champion Banner and the 2011 Wayne Gretzky Western Conference Champion Banner on Saturday, September 24th when they play host to the Saginaw Spirit.
The 2011 Ontario Hockey League Champion Banner will be unveiled the following Saturday, October 1st when the Attack play host to the Guelph Storm. “We want to afford all of our players at NHL Camps the opportunity to be here for the unveiling of the Championship Banner.”, stated Director of Marketing and Public Relations Brent Fisher. “This is a special night for the players and the fans in Owen Sound who have supported the franchise from day one. Fans have been waiting for this for a long time.”
The Attack will be using the home opener on September 21st to introduce the 2011/2012 squad and to present Jarrod Maidens and Gemel Smith a token of appreciation for their efforts in capturing a gold medal for Team Canada at the 2011 Ivan Hlinka Under 18 Championships.
Tickets for the Banner Raising evenings and all Attack Regular Season home games will be available at the Attack Box Office and online at www.attackhockey.com beginning at 9:00am on Tuesday, September 6th.
Fans are also reminded of the Attack’s first home exhibition game this Sunday, September 4th at 2:00pm when the Attack play host to the Barrie Colts. Season Ticket Holders are reminded of the Annual Season Ticket Holder meet the Team BBQ that will take place in the Shore Room shortly following the afternoon’s game.
