Season Ticket Update
The Owen Sound Attack appreciates the patience of its fans as we continue to navigate the pandemic and inch closer to the start of the 2021-22 season. We continue to hear from many of you who either are interested renewing your season tickets, that you may have opted out of in what was supposed to be the 2020-21 season becoming a new season ticket member.
Let us shed a little light on our current situation.
As of today, we have 1,300 season ticket member seats who renewed their seats for what we had hoped would be the 2020-21 season, that was eventually cancelled, and left their money with us to put against their seats for the upcoming 2021-22 season. Unfortunately, currently under the provinces reopening act, if we were to have a game today, we would only be allowed to have 1,000 fans in the stands, leaving us with a deficit of 350 season tickets that would be left unsatisfied per game. We had hoped by now that we would have seen this number increase which would have allowed us to increase the number of season ticket member seats before the start of the season.
Although this week the provinces’ Medical Officer of Health referred to groups like us, who have gone to only allowing double vaccinated spectators, being considered for full attendance, we cannot add any additional season ticket seats until such a time as it is made official.
When such an announcement is made official and if time permits we will look to try and add season ticket seats for fans who either chose not to renew for the 2020-21 season (for various reasons), or chose to take their money back when the 2020-21 season was cancelled, both completely understandable actions. If time does not permit, and we will be completely candid with you that we are running out of time to be able to do this, we will do our best to offer a combination of selling you a flex card and selling you every game for the season when single game tickets go on sale. This would equate to roughly the same savings as a season ticket member. We are also extending some other season ticket benefits to those who we may not be able to offer season seats.
This includes the following:
– Season Ticket Gift (2020-21 Season Hat) *some may have already picked this up*
– Free Membership in new Attack FanPass Perks program
– Free medium popcorn coupon
This will all be communicated when we are in a position to do so. We are as frustrated as anyone with the situation and will do our best to do right by all our fans.
No matter the result of the above, your seat itself will not be sold as a season seat to anyone else until after the renewal period for the 2022-23 season, should you choose to not renew it at that time.
We hope you can appreciate that while we had hoped we would be able to go back out to season ticket members for additional seats for the 2021-22 season, our current situation does not allow for it at this time and that we are attempting to constantly adapt to the landscape in front of us.
