Drafted from: Toronto Marlboros Minor Midget...won gold with Team Ontario at the 2010 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge...won gold with Canada at the 2011 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament

Acquired by the Kitchener Rangers in the first round of the 2010 OHL Priority Selection. Matia captained Team Ontario to a gold medal in the U-17 World Hockey Challenge. He also joined the National Summer Under-18 team at the 2011 Memorial of Ivan Hlinka Tournament. In June 2012, Marcantuoni was selected in the fourth round of the NHL Entry Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins.
