
The Owen Sound Attack held the team’s first Cubs For Cancer taking centre stage around the OHL on Saturday, Nov. 25, and raised over $50,000.
Cubs For Cancer game, a fundraising initiative that sees the Attack and Canadian Cancer Society’s Bluewater Office partner in an effort to raise funds and awareness for paediatric cancer patients. Through a fundraising hair cut and a celebrity serve night at Boston Pizza Owen Sound, the Attack and CCS Bluewater already raised over $28,000 for the event.
The Saturday night’s game saw the Bears wear specialty jerseys – a photo of which can be found below – that were auctioned off immediately following the game by auctioneer and Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MPP Bill Walker.

Also taking place on the Saturday night was a bucket pass, a chuck-a-puck and a silent auction.
