Blandisi Named POW
The Owen Sound Attack is pleased to announce that rookie forward, Joseph Blandisi has been named the Becker Shoes Attacker of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 27th.
On Friday evening, Blandisi picked up an assist on the Attack’s 2nd goal of the game, while finishing with a +1 rating in a 4-3 Attack shootout loss. Saturday evening the Attack made their one and only regular season trip to the Essar Centre in Sault Ste. Marie to take on the Greyhounds. The Markham, ON. native notched the fastest two goals ever by an Owen Sound player, scoring two goals in seven seconds in the third period to propel the Attack to a 5-2 win over the Greyhounds.
The previous record was held by John McIntyre when he scored two goals in twelve second against the London Knights on January 29th, 1987. The 5’11 speedster has 8 goals and 8 assists in 22 games played and currently sits with a +1 rating on the season.
The next home game action for the Attack is this Wednesday, November 30th when they play host to the Barrie Colts. A reminder to all Early Bird Season Ticket Holders that this Wednesday is a raincheck evening. .50 cents from every walk-up ticket on Wednesday will also go to the Attack’s Movember campaign.
