Attack Stung 2-1
The Owen Sound Attack squared off against the Sarnia Sting for their third contest in three nights.
Former Attack Star and Captain Bobby Ryan was on hand for the evenings ceremonial faceoff and received a standing ovation from the hometown crowd.
The Attack would strike first against the Sting when a Keevin Cutting point shot slipped through Sarnia goaltender JP Anderson to give the hometown boys a 1-0 lead.
The Sting would reply in the 2nd when Charles Sarault broke through shorthanded on Brandon Hope to draw the game even at one. Just over two minutes later the Sting would bulge the twine again when Connor Murphy struck on the powerplay to give the Sting a 2-1 lead.
Despite their best efforts, the Attack would not be able to tie the game and were outshot 42-29.
