In previous years, the Attack has arranged player visits with many of the schools in the surrounding community. The team is happy to announce they will once again be continuing this tradition for the upcoming season.
Each Attack visit typically lasts one hour in length, with the Attack players arriving at 10:00AM. The players begin by addressing the students about an important topic suggested by the school. Historically, the Attack players have focused on the topic of bullying in their talks, but recently, the players have changed pace to instead talk about goal setting and perseverance. Although the players commonly talk about the listed topics, the Attack is more than happy to incorporate any message that a school may wish to add, such as a direct message to younger or older students.
The player talk is followed by a brief question period where students have the chance to ask Attack players questions of their choice. Each classroom usually comes up with a question that they can ask the players, which keeps the visit on track, but allows for everyone to get involved.
The visit is then capped off with a floor hockey game between the Attack players and students at each school, which serves as a great opportunity for the young fans to interact in a fun way with the players.
