Attack Look for More in Game 4
The Owen Sound Attack could very well be up 3-0 in their Western Conference Quarter Final Series if not for a disastrous two minute span in the second period of Monday’s game. The Attack lead 1-0 after the first period, but quickly fell behind 3-1 when the Greyhounds poured in three pp goals. The Attack battled back, controlling the game for most of the third period but it wasn’t enough as they fell 5-3 (empty net goal).
“I think we’ve got to get out of the (penalty) box and find a way to play five-on-five,” Attack coach Greg Ireland said Tuesday. “If you listen to everyone here, you’d think we haven’t done anything. We’ve done a lot of good things here. Our team is a good hockey team and we’re up 2-1. In the end we came in here to win one game on the road. We can do that and put pressure on their hockey team.” (Courtesy of Owen Sound Sun Times)
Cameron Brace will sit out the third of a five game suspension. Jordan Binnington has a 1.85GAA and .946 save percentage following games when allowing four or more goals. The Attack will be looking for a good start, but ironically the team that has scored first in each game of the series has gone on to lose the game.
