Attack Drop 4-1 Decision to Storm
After a 3-2 SO win on Wednesday night over the Whalers, the Owen Sound Attack travelled to Guelph to take on the Storm, looking for their 6th win in a row.
The Game did not start well for the Attack as Hunter Garlent would open the scoring for the Storm on Teddy Bear Toss night, causing the ice to be littered with Teddy Bears. Kurtis Gabriel would respond shortly after with a wicked shot to the top shelf past Sparks to make it 1-1.
The second period would be all Guelph as they would take a 2-1 lead on a Brock Mcginn goal and then add two other late goals courtesy of Zack Mitchell and Justin Auger to take a 4-1 lead. The Storm would outshoot the Attack 17-3 in the second period.
Brandon Hope would get the nod in the third period for the Attack in relief of Jordan Binnington. The third belonged to the Storm once again as they outshot the Attack 10-6.
4-1 would be the way this one would end in favor of the Guelph Storm.
The Centennial Windows Three Stars of the Game were:
3) Zack Mitchell 1G
2) Zac Leslie
1) Ryan Horvat 1A
The Attack is back in action on Saturday night when they play host to the Belleville Bulls. Tickets for Saturday’s game are available at the Attack Box Office, online at www.attackhockey.com or by calling (519) 371-7452.
