Attack Deal Hope to Ice Dogs
The Owen Sound Attack is announcing that overage goaltender Brandon Hope has been traded to the Niagara Ice Dogs in exchange for a 4th Round Draft Choice (2017) and a 7th Round Draft Choice (2015) in the Ontario Hockey League State Farm Priority Selection.
Acquired from the Sarnia Sting prior to the 2012/2013 season, Hope played in 80 games over parts of three seasons, gathering a 42-25-3-3 record to go along with a 2.78 GAA and a .916 save percentage.
“We’re confident moving forward with Jack and Michael as our goaltenders and as an overage goaltender in this league, Brandon deserves to play on a regular basis.”, said General Manager Dale DeGray. “While a member of the Attack, Brandon did everything asked of him and was a model citizen. We wish him nothing but the best as he continues his hockey career in Niagara.”
As a member of the Attack in 2012/2013, Hope shared the Ontario Hockey League’s Dave Pinkney Award with Jordan Binnington. The Dave Pinkey Award is handed out to the OHL’s goaltending duo with the league’s lowest Goals Against.
