Weekend Preview #3 – Attack Prepare for Northern Road Trip

The Owen Sound Attack will continue their four game road swing this weekend when they make their only trip to Northern Ontario this weekend. The Bears will take on the Sudbury Wolves on Friday Night in the Nickel City then head to Sault Ste. Marie to take on the Greyhounds on Saturday night. Both games can be seen on Rogers Grey County Channel 53, online on CHLtv/OHL Live and on the radio on 560 CFOS Bear Radio.

The Attack open the weekend in Sudbury, against a Wolves team that will have San Jose Sharks 1st round pick Quentin Musty back in the line-up for the first time this regular season. The Attack will also need to be careful to not allow the likes of David Goethe, Evan Kenyan and Kieron Walton a lot space and time to create offensively. In net the Bears will need to find a way to solve import goalie Jakub Vondras who is sporting a 2.26 GAA and 0.908 save percentage so far this season.

On Saturday night, the Attack will head to the OHL’s most northern city and take the SOO Greyhounds who sit on top of the Western Conference with a 5-1-0-0 record. The Greyhounds hot start has been fuelled by the leagues second best power play that is punishing their opponents 37.5-percent of the time. To be successful the Attack will need to stay out of the penalty box and keep Jack Beck, Owen Allard and Jordan D’Intio of the scoresheet and from creating offensive opportunities for their teammates.

This weekend the Attack will look continue their balanced Attack and depend on timely goaltending to come home with four points on this road trip.
