Owen Sound Attack Welcome Gabriel Smith as Third Round Pick For 2023-24 Season
The Owen Sound Attack continues the build into the 2023-24 season, as their 3rd Round pick from this past OHL priority Selection, Gabriel Smith signed his Standard Player Agreement with the organization.
Attack General Manager Dale DeGray, says he would like to welcome Gabriel and his family to the Attack organization. “I look forward to seeing Gabriel at camp. Gabriel is big, strong, physical, puck moving defenseman. We are very fortunate to have drafted him in the third round.”
Smith is coming off his 2022-23 season with the Toronto Marlboros U16 AAA, as he posted 8 goals and 17 points in 31 games played throughout the year. The Brampton, ON native followed up his regular season with the OHL Cup, where he played in a tough 5 games.
“I’m looking forward to playing with such a great group of guys. It really seems like a family as well as just watching the older guys on the team. Being able to soak up whatever I can add to my game to help the team in any way possible.”
Getting ready to see Smith later this month, fans will be able to catch a glimpse of Smith at the Attack development camp set to begin August 28th.
