Howard Hindman Scholastic Player of the Year: Logan LeSage
Logan LeSage has been named the Howard Hindman Scholastic Player of the Year for the Owen Sound Attack in the 2019/20 season.
The 18-year-old from Nepean, ON excelled on and off the ice this year for the Attack, playing in 21 games, scoring once and adding three assists. In the classroom, LeSage took five Grade 12 University level courses. He earned a 100% in International Business, 100% in English, 99% in Organizational Business, 99% in Leadership, 98% in Society Challenge and Change and 98% in two periods of co-op.
Attack Educational Consultant Sarah Rowe is proud of LeSage’s achievements: “Logan has been an absolute joy to work with. He has an incredible work ethic and puts his best effort into everything he does. He completes his assignments with considerable care and attention to detail.” She adds: “His teachers have all commented that the quality of his work far exceeds that of his peers and his assignments more than fulfill all the expectations of the marking rubric. He has a positive attitude towards everything he does and sees every obstacle as an opportunity to excel.”
Rowe is proud to nominate LeSage as the Owen Sound Attack’s Ivan Tennant nominee as the OHL’s highest performing high school student.
The Howard Hindman Memorial Award pays tribute to a true builder of sports in the town, and a member of the Owen Sound Sports Hall of Fame. During his time as an influencer in Owen Sound sports, Howard was treasurer of the Owen Sound Crescents Mann Cup Championship team, as well as the President of the Owen Sound Greys for 35 years.
