Attack Take Out CHL#8 Bulldogs 5-3
The Owen Sound Attack made their way to Brantford Friday night to face off against the Bulldogs at 7PM.
The Attack began the first period with a rapid start. Attack would push hard for play into the Bulldogs zone early in the period. Making several attempts on net the attack would lead with shots on goal. George would hold strong in net making calculated saves. Brantford would slowly gain traction but with no results on either end leaving the first period with a 0-0 score.
Second period would begin with an explosive start as Russian import Rafik Varosyan would find the back of the bulldogs net as he made a solo pursuit down the ice. The score was now opened 1-0 Attack, but this would not last for long. As the period was spent in a racing speed. Newly traded Tristan Delisle would make a crashing appearance making a stellar goal from the goal line. With less than 6 seconds left in the second, the bulldogs would pull out some momentum making a goal of their own, raising the score to 2-1 Attack.
Bulldogs would bring the heat into the third period as they opened with a goal to the back of the Attack’s net. Not shortly after, play would resume in the Bulldogs’ territory, where Elliot Arnett and Braedyn Rogers would feed the puck to Sam McCue, tipping the puck into the back of the net. Following suit, Harry Nansi would rush Brantford’s net earning his first OHL Career goal. The Bulldogs would clap back with another goal of their own but this would once again not last. With less than 30 seconds left in the third period, Attack player Bruce McDonald would sink the puck into the Bulldogs empty net.
Up next, the Attack will be heading back to the Harry Lumley Arena for a Saturday night game against the Kitchener Rangers.
