Attack in Tough Game with Kingston Frontenacs
The Attack took to the road once again, landing in Kingston for a Friday night game against the Frontenacs. The Attack facing a veteran team would end the game in a 7-1 loss, Sam McCue making the Attacks’ one goal. Fans would get a chance to see both Owen Sound goalies in action as Matthew Koprowski would start in net, later finishing in net would be Carter George.
The first period would be quiet for the Attack seeing spars puck time in the Frontenacs’ territory. Making 4 goals in the first period, the Attack would look to up pressure in defending the Attack net.
Going into the second, the Attack had a change in play and seemly group effort. Creating a stronger defence and aiming offence the Attack played harder demanding the puck. With the Frontenacs making an additional two goals in the second period, the Attack were quick to answer. Finding play behind the Frontenacs’ net, Tristan Delisle would make a swift clean pass to McCue, who would tip in the puck to the back of the net with mere seconds to go.
With 20 minutes remaining on the clock the Attack would fight hard to protect the net allowing only one additional frontenacs goal in. In a tough game, the Attack fought hard.
Up next, Owen Sound are queued for a Sunday game in Ottawa at 2PM. Finishing off the road games, the Attack will then travel to London where they will face off against the Knights at 7PM.
