Attack and Cancer Society Launch Replica Jersey and Commemoration Fundraiser
The Owen Sound Attack and Canadian Cancer Society are excited to announce the beginning of their fundraising campaign ahead of the Hockey Fights Cancer Charity game on Saturday Oct. 28th. To kick off this year’s fundraising, the Attack will be offering the chance for fans and community members to commemorate and celebrate loved ones affected by Cancer. Starting today, July 19th, you can commemorate the name of any person or persons onto our 2023 Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys which will be worn during the charity game night by the entire Attack team. Each name will be featured prominently on our one of a kind game-worn Attack Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys, and on our replica jerseys which are also available to pre-order. All replica jerseys can be fully customized with name, number, captain or assistant, and size.
The Attack launched a similar fundraiser with great response as part of the kickoff for last season’s Hockey for Hospice game night. The Hockey Fights Cancer organizing committee hopes this opportunity gives fans another unique chance to connect with the team and honour those around them that have faced or are facing a Cancer journey.
“Everyone has been touched by Cancer in some way, whether it’s a friend or family member, neighbour or colleague, Cancer has a way of personally effecting so many people.” Said Attack Coordinator of Community Relations, Evan Longland. “The battle with Cancer is a community effort, so continuing to provide a game night that raises money for the local Wheels of Hope program and also providing a platform to promote the stories of Cancer survivors and victims remains ever important. We hope that by providing this opportunity to support the game night and create a place for people to personally connect with the team that this year’s game will feel even bigger and more impactful than it has before.”
Fans can submit a commemorative name or pre-purchase a custom replica Hockey Fights Cancer Jersey online through the Attack store or by visiting the MacVicar and McComb Sutton-Sound Realty Attack Box Office. More information on the sizes and customization is available online on the product page, any additional questions about the game night or the jersey fundraiser can be addressed to Evan Longland at [email protected].
The Hockey Fights Cancer Charity Game will take place on Saturday Oct. 28th, at 4pm at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre. Stay tuned to the Attack social media feeds and website for more information on the game and fundraising efforts.
