2025 NHL Entry Draft: Pre-Draft
The 2025 NHL Entry Draft is quickly coming to fruition creating a great deal of anticipation at the Bayshore. Round 1 of the Draft will be held Friday, June 27, starting at 7pm EST at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Rounds 2 through 7 to follow the next day, Saturday, June 28 beginning at 11am EST. The Attack are counted for a total of 13 eligible players for this year’s draft, including the 9th ranked North American Goalie in Matthew Koprowski, 17th ranked overall North American Goalie (Attack prospect) Trenten Bennett, 62nd ranked North American Skater in David Bedkowski, and 173rd ranked North American Skater in Jake Crawford.
Earlier January of the 2024-25 season, NHL eligible Attack players Bedkowski, Nansi and Koprowski were all invited to the Connor McDavid Top prospects game held in Brantford. Competing in a Eastern vs. Western conference showdown, the game was a foot in the door to showcase skill and performance for onlooking scouts in attendance.
65 Attack players have been called on at the NHL Entry Draft. Mostly recently, Thunder Bay native and Attack Goaltender Carter George, being taken in the the second round, 57th overall by the LA Kings during 2024 Entry Draft. Additionally, Sam McCue while with the Attack during the 2024-25 hockey season was also selected in the 2024 Draft in the 7th round by the Toronto Maple Leafs.
