Carter George With the World Junior Summer Showcase 2025
Hockey Canada announced Sunday its 2025 World Summer Showcase roster. Among them named Attack Goaltender Carter George, a part of the 44 players invited to Canada’s National Junior team camp. All 44 players will be headed to the Ridder Arena in Minneapolis, USA from July 27 to August 2.
“It’s a honour to be invited back to the National Junior Team Summer Showcase” Carter George stated. “Being a part of the group last year and falling short left a lot of unfinished business. I’m coming back more motivated than ever, and I know a lot of us returning guys feel the same-we’re ready to push each other and do whatever it takes to finish the job this time.”
This will not be the first invite George has competed for Team Canada, being involved with the 2022 National U17 Development Camp, 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup (Team Canada), 2024 IIHF U18 World Championship with Team Canada, 2024-25 Junior Team Summer Showcase – Canada Red, 2024-25 National Junior Team vs. USports and most recently 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship for Team Canada.
Attack General Manager, Dale DeGray says ‘Carter’s impressive Junior career’ is no surprise after showcasing his talents between the bars. “We all in Owen Sound as fans are spoiled and impressed every time we get a chance to watch Carter play. We wish him all the best and all the success in the world.”
A full roster can be found here as well at the full schedule. An intrasquad game will be played July 29, before Canada’s game against Finland July 30, Sweden on Aug. 1 and the USA on August 2.
