Barlow Named OHL 1st Team All-Star
The Accolades continue to come for Owen Sound Attack Captain Colby Barlow. Today, the Ontario Hockey League named the 2023 NHL Draft eligible winger a 1st team all-star.
Building off a solid rookie season, Barlow had another career year tallying 46 goals, the fifth most of any OHL skater, and 33 assists in just 59 regular season games. The 2022-23 season saw Colby named the youngest captain in team history and him earn the nickname “Captain Clutch” scoring 12 game winning goals, the most of anyone in the OHL, including several late game or overtime winners. In the playoffs, he continued his impressive scoring tallying 3 goals.
This is the second end of season award for Colby, earlier this spring he was named the Bobby Smith Award winner as the OHL’s Scholastic Player of the Year and a finalist for the Canadian Hockey League Scholastic Player of the Year, which will be announce this Saturday night at the Memorial Cup in Kamloops, British Columbia.
