Attack Round out Calendar Year with Pair of Home Games
The Owen Sound will look to end the 2022 calendar year on a high note, as they get set for a pair of home games before the new year.
First up is a divisional game against the Kitchener Rangers on Wednesday night at the Bayshore. The Rangers have turned their season around after a disastrous start, and look to be making a strong push going into the second half of the season, having acquired Francesco Arcuri from the Kingston Frontenacs to bolster a potent offence. Though both teams will still have plenty of fire power, each will also be missing a key forward, with both Attack Servac Petrovsky and Rangers Filip Mesar off at the World Juniors for team Slovakia. For Owen Sound the loss stings as Petrovsky was beginning to heat up offensively before leaving for the international tournament.
Owen Sound then rounds out their week with a rare Friday night game at the Bayshore as they welcome the Barrie Colts to town. The second game of the highway 26 rivalry will be an intriguing one, as the Colts have been very up and. down throughout the first half of the season, while the Attack have dropped 6 of 7 since claiming the first meeting between the teams back on December 1st. Owen Sound will be hoping that a rematch with the Colts can help them reverse their current slump, as they look to maintain pace with the Midwest leading London Knights.
