Oil Kings announce Eastern Conference Championship schedule
Edmonton, AB – The Edmonton Oil Kings will take on the Winnipeg ICE in the WHL’s Eastern Conference Championship Series.
The ICE will have home ice advantage in the series after finishing the regular season with the best record in the WHL, while the Oil Kings had the second-best record. This will be the Oil Kings fifth appearance in the WHL’s Eastern Conference Championship Series in the last 10 years.
During the regular season, the Oil Kings held a 3-1-0-0 record against the ICE.
The Oil Kings and ICE are meeting in the post-season for the first time since 2013.
