Unfortunately, due to the job action amongst teachers in Alberta, the Oil Kings were unable to participate in READ IN Week as planned this year.

We look forward to hopefully visiting Edmonton and area classrooms when classes resume.

Designed to help ignite a passion for reading and celebrate literacy and life-long learning, Oil Kings READ IN Week marks a special time of each school year for students in Edmonton and surrounding areas as players from the hockey Club visit classrooms to share stories in a fun and engaging atmosphere.

Focusing on Kindegarten to Grade 3, elementary school teachers in Edmonton and surrounding areas are encouraged to apply for the chance to have a member of the Oil Kings organization visit their classroom to be part of this exciting educational experience.
