Generals Down Sting
Sarnia,ON – The Sarnia Sting once again outshot and outchanced their opponent Friday at the SSEC but didnt get as many bounces and couldnt capitalize on the opportunities as often as the visiting Oshawa Generals did.
The Generals were led by a familiar name as Adam Berti, the younger brother of Sting Alum Chris Berti, scored the eventual game winner in the last minute of play in the second period.
Prior to Berti’s game winner, Tyler Donati and Brandon McBride had staked the Gens to a 2-0 lead.
The Sting would pull within one when Brad Efthimiou made a great individual shorthanded effort to put the Sting on the board, just prior to Berti putting the Generals up by two once again.
Both clubs would trade off third period goals highlighted by Sting rookie Steve Savor’s first OHL goal on the powerplay.
Chris Hulit would round out the scoring for Oshawa.
The Sting get back at it Saturday when OHL superstar Patrick O’Sullivan and his Mississauga Ice Dogs invade the SSEC, game time is 7:30.
The Sarnia Sting Hockey Club, our local KFC restaurants and The Inn of The Good Sheppard would like to thank all fans in attendance at last nights game.
Due to the genorisity of those in attendance last night as a group we were able to raise just under $4000 towards the Inn.
