Monday Morning Buzz: Sting See Franchise-Best Win Streak Hit 14
The Sarnia Sting completed their best win streak in franchise history this weekend. Winners of fourteen consecutive games, the Sting were undefeated through all of October and the first game of November.
This past weekend the Sting were on an Eastern road swing which saw them make stops in Peterborough, Kingston, and Ottawa.
On Thursday night, Sarnia competed in a hard-fought battle against the Petes. It was a wild affair which saw the final score settle at a 7-5 win. Sting captain Jordan Kyrou had a career-high six points, the most scored in a single game by a Sting skater since 2013. It was Sarnia’s fourteenth win in a row.

And on Sunday afternoon, the Sting made their final stop of the weekend in Ottawa. The 67’s battled hard all afternoon and came away with a narrow 4-3 victory. Kyrou, Adam Ruzicka, and Drake Rymsha scored for the Sting.

On Friday night, the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds will be back in town for a rematch of the OHL’s top teams. The Sting lead the league with 30 points, and the Soo have 28. Sarnia took their first matchup of the season at home last week. It’ll surely be a major game to watch.
On Sunday afternoon, the Owen Sound Attack come to visit Progressive Auto Sales Arena. Coincidentally, one of the Sting’s wildest games of the season was also against the Attack. In their first matchup of the year at Owen Sound, the Sting escaped with a crazy 6-5 win. Expect just as much fun this time around.
