Sting Sign Defencemen Jack O’Brien To Hockey Club
The Sarnia Sting announced today the signing of Jack O’Brien to an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
O’Brien, 19, spent last season in the USHS Prep School Program playing for the Hill School. In 33 games he notched 4 goals and 16 assists for a combined total of 20 points.
So far this season, the 6-foot-2 defencemen has suited up in twenty-one games for the Cranbrook Bucks of the BCHL where he totaled 7 points (1G, 6A).
Jack is set to make his Sting debut on Thursday night against the Peterborough Petes.
On the signing of O’Brien, General Manager Dylan Seca shares:
“Jack is a player we feel will really help solidify our backend. He’s a competitor, takes pride in defending, moves well, has elite character and habits. The new rules opened up an opportunity to sign this free agent player from the BCHL and we believe he can become a valuable member of our program.”
