Sting Sign Left Wing Ryder Simpson To Hockey Club
Sarnia Sting General Manager Dylan Seca announced this morning that the Hockey Club has signed 16-year-old Ryder Simpson to an Ontario Hockey League Scholarship and Development Agreement.
Selected in the 4th round, 81st overall, Seca added 6’2 forward Ryder Simpson in this year’s 2024 OHL Priority Selection from the Guelph Jr. Gryphons U16 AAA. The Guelph, Ontario native tallied 12 goals and 11 assists in 33 games last season.
On the signing of Simpson, Seca comments:
“Ryder is a competitive player who embodies all the qualities of being a Sting. He’s a hard worker, skates well, plays with a ton of jam and possesses elite character. He’s a player who will continue his development with Cambridge of the GOJHL and be available as an affiliate player throughout the season.”
Ryder is set to make his Sting debut on Wednesday night against the Owen Sound Attack.
