Landen Hookey Named Attack Player of the Week
This week’s Attack Player of the Week, is newcomer Landen Hookey.
Hookey joined the Attack during the OHL Trade Deadline earlier in the month, and after taking a few games to get acclimatized to the team, the Sarnia, ON native has formed a twin-tower duo with Kaleb Lawrence, and are providing the Attack great depth scoring.
After registering an assist in his first game as a Bear, Hookey found the scoresheet four times during the team’s busy four game week last week. It all started with the big 6’4 winger netting his first goal for the Attack Friday night against the London Knights, before he turned in a goal and assist in a big 7-4 win during Hockey Day in Canada Saturday night against the Peterborough Petes. Hookey then rounded out his strong week with an excellent two-way performance Sunday afternoon against the OHL leading Ottawa 67’s, and pickup a primary assist on the Attack’s opening goal of the game.
With the stretch run coming into view the Attack are more than welcoming of having the offensive contributions from Hookey and his line mates, as Owen Sound aims to keep pace with the top teams in a very tight Western Conference.
