Preview: Attack Set for Back-to-Back with Storm & Ice Dogs
The Owen Sound Attack will look to get back in the win column when they play back-to-back set of games this Friday against the Guelph Storm at the Sleeman Centre and this Saturday against the Niagara Ice Dogs at the Bayshore.
Friday night will be the sixth meeting between the Attack and Storm with the Storm holding a 3-2 season series lead on the Bears. However, the Attack have taken the last two meetings between the two teams, 6-4 and 1-0. Friday nights game could be a very interesting one, with tensions having run a little high on Monday night when the teams last met. The Attack may see a bit of a different look Storm team with them having made a few trade changes including the most recent move of Brayden Gillespie to the Steelheads.
Saturday will be Niagara’s only visit to the Bayshore this season, with the Attack having won the only other meeting between the teams this season 6-4 back on October 11th. The Ice Dogs are a hot team right now, winners of 8 out of their last 10 games. While the Ice Dogs have a potent offence they have been susceptible on defence have allowed 144 goals against this season, four more than the Attack. The Attack will need to conscious of Ryan Roebroeck, Kevin He and Andrei Loshko when defending as this trio are all just as dangerous with the puck on their stick or as the set up man.
