OPEN LETTER TO ATTACK FANS
As much of the province moves into stage 2 of re-opening, we wanted to communicate what we are working on as we await news of our next steps.
We also want to thank our fans and everyone in our surrounding communities for their efforts in flattening the curve. We have come a long way; however, the work is not done yet. We need to continue to follow all public health guidelines to ensure we continue and maintain the progress we have worked so hard to attain.
Although we currently have no firm date for a return to play, we are optimistic that the Attack will hit the ice early this fall for a full schedule of games. We are awaiting guidance from the province, local public health officials and the Ontario Hockey League on when, how, and what our return to play will look like.
While we wait, the Attack front office are not sitting idle. We are paying close attention to how other sectors of the economy have re-opened and what guidelines they have been required to follow. We are examining the similarities and have begun to work with several partners and suppliers to procure the necessary items for a safe return to the Bayshore. These items include personal protective equipment, hand sanitizer and safety partitions for area’s where staff and customers interact in a way that challenges social distancing requirements. We are also examining how we interact with our fans in the building and how that can be improved and made safer. Our number one priority in our return is the health and safety of everyone involved.
We want to reassure our fans that even though we may not have all the answers yet and our plans continue to evolve, we are committed to ensuring your investment with the team is protected and will always attempt to provide you with appropriate compensation if we are unable to deliver what we promise.
Many of you may know we have been out of our office at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre since mid-March. This has created some major challenges for members of our fan base to communicate with us. Within the next two weeks, we are hopeful we will have an announcement regarding the re-opening of the McVicar & McComb Sutton Realty Box Office, the Attack Shack, and our business offices.
Please stay tuned to our website and social media channels for updates.
