This year’s sweater is a nod to the 1925-26 Rosebuds of the original Western Hockey League. Featuring a black base, the on-ice uniform features a fully stitched crest that matches the shield shape and iconic rose of the classic Rosebuds sweater, with an updated color scheme to the Winterhawks’ red and gold. The crest is embroidered with gold stitching accents throughout the rose petals. Squall gray striping adorns the sweater in multiple patterns, from a three-hoop motif around the center of the torso to five evenly spaced stripes down the arm. Player names and numbers also have a little extra flair, with unique embroidery on felt materials adding to the historic look of these sweaters.
The uniforms will be worn for Oregon Hockey History Night on Saturday, March 9 against Wenatchee.
The ONLY way to get a fully stitched, game-worn jersey is through one of only 2,000 raffle tickets available, so act fast at an upcoming game! Since its inception, this initiative has raised more than $120,000 for the player education fund to assist Winterhawks players who pursue post-secondary education.
Want to up your odds? Grab one of 11 limited-edition Golden Tickets to bypass the ticket drawing and ensure your spot in the group of winners! Golden Tickets are available for $1,250 each at the WAHA table on the concourse at Winterhawks games.
