About the Winterhawks Foundation

The Winterhawks Foundation helps promote and support amateur hockey and recreational skating in the greater Portland area. We administer the Player Education Fund for the WHL Portland Winterhawks, support the Tom’s Tykes entry level hockey program and provide scholarships and financial aid for the Jr Winterhawks youth hockey organization.

The Winterhawks Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 charity and we are pleased to provide tax receipts for a donation in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. EIN/TIN: 27-2100045

Winterhawks Foundation “Jersey Off Their Backs” Raffle

Buy your “Jersey Off Their Backs” raffle ticket at the Winterhawks Foundation table at all Winterhawks home games. The winners will receive their jerseys after the game on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Stay tuned to Winterhawks social channels to for the full reveal ahead of game night!

Justin Boyce Scholarship

The Winterhawks Foundation is proud to cover costs associated with hockey for two youth players in the area through the Justin Boyce Scholarship. The Winterhawks and the Winterhawks Foundation believe that hockey is for everyone, no matter your financial standing, and the scholarship aims to support those who cannot afford to play hockey.

About the Winterhawks Foundation:

The Winterhawks Foundation administers the Winterhawks Player’s Education Fund, which pays for college expenses for Winterhawks players once their hockey careers have ended. The Winterhawks Foundation has its own management and Board of Directors, which maintains complete control over all use and distribution of donated funds. And as a registered 501(c)(3) organization, your gift to the Winterhawks Foundation is tax-deductible as allowed by law.
