The 2025-26 season will be the first for Will Hentschel as the Voice of the Winterhawks. He joins the team after calling games in a freelance role with Harvard University, UMass Lowell, Northeastern University, Bentley University, and Babson College in his home state of Massachusetts. Before that, Will spent the 2023-24 season as the Broadcast Intern with the ECHL’s Florida Everblades.
A 2023 graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, Hentschel was a part of various organizations and clubs during his time in Central New York. These included WAER-FM, WJPZ-FM, CitrusTV, the ACC Network, and CNY Stream. Hentschel has experience calling hockey, football, basketball, baseball & softball, soccer, volleyball, lacrosse, swimming & diving, rowing, water polo, and fencing.
